宮里 恵
桐朋学園大学音楽学部演奏学科ピアノ専攻卒業、同大学研究科を経て渡米。
NYマネス音楽大学(現ニュースクール大学)修士課程演奏学科ピアノ専攻修了。
第26回沖縄県高校音楽コンテスト金賞・グランプリ・県代表、第22回全九州高等学校音楽コンクール金賞ならびにグランプリ受賞、第44回全琉音楽祭一位・音楽祭賞受賞、第9回おきでんシュガーホール新人演奏会オーディション入選・新人演奏会出演、Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Scholarship Awards 入賞。
桐朋学園在学中には学内演奏会 Students’ Concert に出演する他、サンマロ夏期講習(フランス)に参加・コンサート出演、ナンシー(フランス)にて Rencontres Musicales en Lorraine に参加・コンサート出演、ニューヨークで行われた International Keyboard Institute and Festival に参加。
留学後も積極的にコンサート出演、マスタークラスを受講するだけにとどまらず、ニューヨークを拠点にクラシック、室内楽からポップス、シャンソン、ソウルジャズ、キャバレー/シアター、ミュー ジカル伴奏までジャンルを超えて活躍。作曲、アレンジャーとして様々なミュージシャンへの楽曲提供、サポートピアニスト、キーボーディストとしてレコーディングにも参加し、更には美術家とのコラボレーションも行っている。
帰国後はコンサートの企画・出演、リゾートホテルやライブハウスでの演奏活動、エッセイ執筆の他、主催するピアノ教室にて指導にあたる。
沖縄県立芸術大学、沖縄女子短期大学非常勤講師。ブルグミュラーコンクール、沖縄ピアノコンクール、保育士試験の審査員も務める。
ピアノを浜口奈々、山田富士子、Jerome Rose、室内楽を Dr. Chin Kim、ジャズピアノを Michael Weiss に、作曲を原田敬子に師事。
Megumi Miyazato is an accomplished pianist, educator, and composer who maintains an active career spanning multiple musical genres from classical to jazz. Currently serving as a part-time lecturer at Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts and Okinawa Women’s Junior College, she divides her time between performing, teaching, and creative projects. After completing studies at the Toho Gakuen School of Music’s Performance Department (Piano) in Tokyo, she pursued graduate studies at Mannes College of Music (now part of The New School University) in New York, earning a Master’s degree in Piano Performance.
Her principal teachers include Nana Hamaguchi, Fujiko Yamada, and Jerome Rose for piano, Dr. Chin Kim for chamber music, Michael Weiss for jazz piano, and Keiko Harada for composition.
Her competition successes include First Prize and Grand Prix at the 26th Okinawa Prefectural High School Music Contest, Gold Prize and Grand Prix at the 22nd All-Kyushu High School Music Competition, First Prize and Music Festival Award at the 44th All-Ryukyu Music Festival, and selection for the 9th Okiden Sugar Hall New Artist Concert. She have also been recognized with the Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Scholarship Award.
During her time at Toho Gakuen, she was selected to perform in The Students’ Concerts and participated in prestigious summer programs including the Master Classes of Saint-Malo (France), Rencontres Musicales en Lorraine in Nancy (France), and the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York.
Based in New York after graduation, she expanded her musical horizons beyond classical performance, actively engaging in chamber music, pop, chanson, soul jazz, cabaret/theater, and musical theater accompaniment. Her versatility extends to composition and arranging, providing musical works for various musicians and participating in recordings as a support pianist and keyboardist. She has also collaborated with visual artists on interdisciplinary projects. Since returning to Japan, she has been actively involved in concert produce and performance, playing at resort hotels and live music venues, writing essays, and running her own piano studio.
She serves as a jury member for the Burgmüller Competition, Okinawa Piano Competition, and the Nursery Teacher Examination.
